Construct a triangle ABC,given that AB= 4.5 cm ,BC= 7 cm and median AD= 4 cm. Construct inscribed circle of triangle ABC . write the clear steps of construction. idiotic answers are not allowed.solve it in your notebook and post ur answers

Steps of construction:

  1. Draw a line segment BC = 7 cm
  2. Draw the perpendicular bisector of BC, and mark the intersecting point on BC as D. Now draw an arc of radii 4 cm on the constructed bisector, with centre D.
  3. Draw an arc of radii 4.5 cm with centre B, which intersects the previous arc at A.
  4. Join AC. ABC is the required triangle.
  5. Draw arcs of any radius with centre as B (E and F on the figure, as shown) draw arcs with centre E and F with the same radii as before. Let them intersect.
  6. Repeat step 5 with centre as C and let the lines intersect at point I.
  7. Draw a perpendicular on AB from I.
  8. IM is the required radius of the circle to be inscribed.
  9. Draw a circle with radii IM and centre as I.

Note: the circle doesn't intersect AC because of construction errors, though if drawn according to the steps, it'll surely intersect. Sorry for that :)
