Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) Draw BC = 4.6 cm.

(ii) Construct ∠YBC = 45°.

(iii) From ray BY, cut-off line segment BD = AB + BC = 8.2cm.

(iv) Join CD.

(v) Draw the perpendicular bisector of CD meeting BY at A.

(vi) Join AC to obtain the required triangle ABC.

Justification

Since A lies on the perpendicular bisector of CD.

∴  AC = AD

Now   BD = 8.2 cm

⇒  BA + AD = 8.2 cm

⇒  BA + BC = 8.2cm

Hence, △ABC is the required triangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

 Draw a line AB = 3.5 cm.

(2) Using compasses and taking B as centre, draw an arc of 5.2 cm radius.

(3) With A as centre, draw an arc of 4.8

(4) Join AC and BC
