Step-by-step explanation:
Given:
Triangle ABC in which AC=6.2 cm
, ∠C=60° and AB-BC = 2.5 cm
To find: Construction of ∆ABC
Solution:
Steps of Construction:
- Draw baseline AC of 6.2 cm.
- With the help of protector or compass draw an angle of 60° at point C and extend the angle line downwards also, as shown in the attached figure.
- Measure 2.5 cm from the compass and make an Arc on the downward ray, that is CX.
- Join A to X.
- Draw a perpendicular bisector of AX with the help of compass.
- The point where the perpendicular bisector meets the line of angle 60° in upward direction ,B will be the point of intersection.
- Join A to B.
- Construction of triangle ABC with given specifications has been done.
Verification:
On the verification part one can measure the side length AB and BC, here AB is 5.5 cm and BC is 3 cm ,
AB-BC= 2.5 cm
which is required.
Hope it helps you.
