The construction of ∆ABC is attached in the figure.
Given:
- ∆ABC
- BC=5.6 cm and AC-AB=1.6 cm
- =45°
To find:
- Construction of ∆ABC
Solution:
Steps of construction:
- Draw base BC of 5.6 cm with the help of scale and pencil.
- Draw 45° angle at point B with the help of protector/compass.
- Mark an arc of AC-AB=1.6 cm on line of 45° extended towards downward direction, mark that point D;as shown in figure.
- Join D and C.
- Made a perpendicular bisector of DC,it cuts angle 45° line,mark that point as A.
- Join A to C.
- Thus, construction of ∆ABC has done.
Verification:
On measurement
AC=4.2 cm
AB= 2.6 cm
Thus,
AC-AB=4.2-2.6=1.6 cm
