Construction of ∆ABC is attached.
Given:
- ∆ABC with base BC=4.5cm,
- Angle B =60° and AB+AC=7.1cm.
To find:
- Construction of ∆ABC.
Solution:
Steps of construction:
- Draw a line segment BC of 4.5 cm with the help of pencil and scale.
- Draw ,with the help of protector or compass.We are drawing here with compass.
- Measure an arc of radius 7.2 cm on LB.
- Draw a line LC.
- Draw perpendicular bisector of LC; it meets LB at a point, this is point A.
- Join A to C.
- Construction of ∆ABC is completely done.
Verification:
On measurement it is found that
AB=3.2 cm
AC= 3.9 cm
So,
AB+AC=7.1cm
Hence verified.
