Given: PQ = PR = 3 cm and angle P = 120°.

To draw : A triangle PQR

Steps :

  • Draw a line PQ = 3 cm
  • with P as a center draw an angle of 120°.
  • With P as a center and radius =3 cm , draw an arc and named it as R
  • join R to Q
  • PQR is a required triangle

then

In triangle PQR

let angle Q=angle R = x

\angle P + \angle Q + \angle R = 180^\circ\\      angle sum property

then

120+x+x=180

2x=180-120

2x=60

x= 30°

hence , The \angle Q=\angle R =30^\circ

since 2 sides are equal , Its a Isosceles triangle
