Solution:

Step 1 :  Draw a triangle PQR

Step 2 :  draw a ray PX with ∠QPX acute angle at  P on PQ

Step 3 :  Take three points at equal distance on ray PX

Step 4 : join 3rd point with Q

Step 5 : Draw a line parallel to line segment drawn in step 4 passing through 2nd point on PX  and intersecting PQ at Q'

Step 6 : Draw a line parallel to QR and passing through Q' and intersect PR at R'

ΔPQ'R'  ≈ ΔPQR

ΔPQ'R'  side equal to 2/3 of the corresponding sides of the triangle pqr
