Given :  a triangle stu in which T=60°   U = 70°  and TU = 7.5 cm

To find : Construct triangle

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment  TU  = 7.5  cm

Step 2 : Draw an angle of 60° at T using setsquare  

Step 3 : Draw an angle of 75° at U  using setsquare

Step 4 :  Both angles intersects at point S

Triangle STU  is constructed

To draw angle using compass

Using suitable width of compass draw a semicircle taking  T as center intersecting TU  at   A

Keeping compass width same taking A as center cut semicircle drawn at B

Draw a ray starting from T passing through B has angle 60 deg

Using suitable width of compass draw a semicircle taking  U as center intersecting TU  at   C

Keeping compass width same taking C as center cut semicircle drawn at D

Keeping compass width same taking D as center cut semicircle further at E

Using suitable compass width taking  D & E as center draw arcs intersecting at F

join UF intersecting semicircle at G

Using suitable compass width taking D & G center draw arcs intersecting at H

Draw a ray starting from U passing through H has angle 75 deg

OB=OC=OA. (radius of the circle)

angle OBA = angle OAB. (angle opp. to equal side are equal)

In ∆OAB

50°+50°+angle AOB = 180° (sum of angle of a ∆)

angle AOB = 80°

similarly IN ∆ AOC

angleAOC = 140°

then, angleBOC = 80°+140°

angleBOC = 220° ans.
