Construct a triangle whose perimeter is12cm and side ratio is 1:2:3

IN ORDER TO CONSTRUCT THE TRIANGLE:-

First of all we have to find its sides.

Given :-

Ratio of sides = 1:2:3

Sides are 1x, 2x , 3x

Now, perimeter of triangle = sum of sides

12 = x + 2x + 3x

=> 6x = 12

=> x = 2

Therefore, the sides of the triangle are 2cm, 4cm and 6cm.

For Construcing Triangle ABC we have,

AB = 6cm

BC = 2cm

CA = 4cm

STEPS OF CONSTRUCTION :-

1.Draw line segment CA of 4cm.

2.Construct arc of 6cm from point A and arc of 2cm from point C by using compass.

3.The point of intersection of both the arcs is point B.

4.Join B to C and A. Now the triangle is constructed.

Perimeter =12cm

Sum of ratio =1+2+3

=6

1/6*12=2cm

2/6*12=4cm

3/6*12=6cm
