- Draw a line QR of any suitable length.
- Mark an angle of 80° degree from Q and draw a ray QP.
- Draw two arcs from PQ with radius of 3 cm by keeping the compass needle at two different points.
- Join these arcs.
- This line is parallel to PQ.
- Similarly, draw more two arcs from QR at a distance of 3.5 cm.
- Join these arcs and we get a line parallel to QR.
- These two parallel lines meet at a point, say A.
