Steps of construction:

  1. Draw base line DE of 3.5 cm.
  2. Draw \angle D= 60^{\circ} and extended the line.
  3. Measure an arc of radius on terminal ray of 60° angle; this point is F.
  4. Join E and F.
  5. Construction of equilateral ∆DEF is over.

Justification:

On measurement of sides it found that all sides are equal to 3.5 cm and all angles are 60°.
