In an isosceles triangle, two sides of three are equal.
And sufficiently it is the right angled triangle.
Then,
By Pythagoras theorem,
c^2=a^2+b^2 (c is the hypotenuse)
(8)^2=2(a)^2 (since isosceles triangle)
64=2(a)^2
(a)^2=32
a=√32
Therefore, the constructed isosceles triangle is,
a=√32 cm, b=√32 cm, c=8 cm.
