Answer:

first draw line segment AC as 6 cm, then from point A take a arc of 6cm..and draw the arc

do the same from point C..you will get a point on upper side..mark it as point B...(first half done)

(from 2nd half)

take a arc of 4cm and it from point A..do the same from point B..you will get a point on lower side mark it as point D..(done)
