Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Take base of the triangle LM as 6.2cm.
  2. Take M as centre and radius of 5.6 cm and draw an arc.
  3. Now take L as center and radius of 4.9 cm bike cutting the the previous arc .
  4. let the intersection point made by two arcs be N.
  5. Now, join NL and NM.
  6. ∆LMN is the required triangle.

Given:

LM = 6.2 cm

MN = 4.9 cm

LN = 5.6 cm

To find:

Construct ∆ LMN

Construction:

  • Step 1: Draw a line segment LM of length 6.2 cm with help of a ruler.
  • Step 2: Take a compass and measure 4.9cm on the ruler.
  • Step 3: With M as center draw an arc of radius 4.9 cm above the line segment
  • Step 4: Similarly, measure 5.6cm on the compass with a ruler and draw an arc with L as the center.
  • Step 5: Mark the intersection point as N.
  • Step 6: Join LN and MN.

Hence, ∆ LMN is constructed.
