Correct Question :-

Construct ∆PQR in which QR = 6.5cm, ∠Q = 60° and PQ = 5cm.

\:

\dashrightarrow Steps :-

  • First, draw a line segment QR of 6.5 cm.
  • Next, take a protractor and keep it's mid-point on the point Q and draw a ray measuring 60°.
  • Then, take a compass and measure it as 5 cm and keep it's tip on the point Q and draw an arc on the ray.
  • Now, join the point R to the point where both the ray and the arc meets. Name it as point P.
  • Finally, the triangle is constructed.

\:

\dashrightarrow Instruments used :-

  • Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements and also the drawn lines should be straight always.
  • Protractor :- The protractor is used to draw the rays of accurate measurements of degrees. It's also used to measure the angles given.
  • Compass :- The compass is used to draw the arcs on the ray by taking the correct measurements as given in the question.
