answer:

Given : PQ = 9.5 cm, PR = 8.5cm and QR = 9.8 cm.

To find : Construct ∆PQR & perpendicular bisector of QR

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment PQ = 9.8 cm

Step 2 : using compass taking width = 8.5 cm and taking P as center draw an arc .

Step 3 : using compass taking width = 9.8 cm and taking Q as center draw an arc such that it intersct arc drawn in step 2 at R

Step 4 : join PR

Step 5 : join QR

∆PQR is constructed

Angle bisector of QR

Step 1 : Taking compass width slightly less than QR  & taking Q as center draw arcs on both sids of QR

Step 2 : Keeping compass width same as in previous step  and taking R as center , draw arcs such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step at A & B

Step 3 : join AB & extend it to cut PQ at T

AB is perpendicular Bisector of QR
