To Find : Construct Rectangle OMBD

Solution:

OM and BD are opposite sides in OMBD

Hence they must be equal

so assuming  OD = 5 cm

Step 1 : Draw a line segment OM = 7 cm

step 2 : Draw a right angle at O on OM using protecator / setsquare

Step 3 :  Take a length of 5 cm from O and angle drawn ad mark as D

Step 4 : Using compass width = 5 cm and taking  M as center draw  an arc

Step 5 : Using compass width = 7 cm and taking  D as center draw  an arc  such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at B

Step 6 : Join MB and BD

Rectangle OMBD is constructed
