Construct rhombus BCED in which BE = 6 cm and CD = 4 cm. Write the
steps of construction.​

In this rhombus, the length of diagonals are given. We know that diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles. So, the steps of construction would be :

1) Draw a line segment AT of length 4.8 cm.

2) Using compass, with length more than half of the length of the line, draw arcs from sides A and T so as to draw the perpendicular bisector.

3) Now, set the compass to length 3 cm and cut the perpendicular bisector on either side of AT with the midpoint of AT as centre and name the points C and R.

4) Join the points ARTC to obtain the required rhombus.
