Let the roots of the polynomial be α and β
Given  α+β = 3
and αβ = -2
WE know that the quadratic polynomial when α and β are the roots is
x² - (α+β)x + αβ
= x² - (3)x + (-2)
= x² - 3x - 2
∴The quadratic polynomial is x²-3x-2

Aliyaa: tysm!! buddy
yasummu: welcm
Aliyaa: determine whether x=-2 is a solution of the quardratic equation xsquare=-2x+8=0 or not
yasummu: Given eq =   x^2 = -2x +8         can be wriiten as   x^2 + 2x - 8 = 0
yasummu: Substituting x = -2 in the eq           (-2)^2  + 2(-2)  - 8 = 0              4+(
yasummu:  4+ (-4) - 8 = 0                    4-4-8 = 0                  4-12 = 0       -8 = 0
yasummu: Since x = -2 in the eq does not give out 0 as a result it is not a zero of the polynomial
Aliyaa: thanks buddy hey can you please help me for my homework today
yasummu: if i have time sure
Aliyaa: Hmm thank you
