Debate: A debate is formal discussion or argument about a particular topic.

A debate usually occurs between two groups one who supports the topic and one who opposes the topic.

Topic - It is the subject about which argument is carried out.

Proposition - It is a statement of acceptance of the topic given by the members of the proposition group.

Opposition -  It is a statement of resistance of the topic given by the members of the opposition group.

Counterargument - These are statements of objection against the objection of the other group.

Rebuttal - The opposition of the topic of debate is the rebuttal statement.
