Construct the following Perpendicular line
Draw a perpendicular on a line segment of 8 cm from a point P lying outside the line.

First draw a line segment AB of length 8cm then draw a point P outside the line. Then taking a convenient size draw two archs on AB. Mark them X and Y. From X draw an arch which cuts through P and then from Y draw an arch which cuts P. Join it to the line segment AB.
