Correct Question :-

Construct a triangle PQR, where QR=6.5 cm, PR=7.8 cm and ∠R=45°.

\dashrightarrow Steps :-

  • First, draw a line segment PR of 7.8 cm.
  • Next, take a protractor and keep it's mid-point on the point R and draw a ray measuring 45°.
  • Then, take a cómpass and measure it as 6.5 cm and keep it's tip on the point R and draw an arc on the ray.
  • Now, join the point P where the ray and the arc meets. Name it as point Q.
  • Finally, the triangle is constructed.

\dashrightarrow Instruments used :-

  • Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements as per to the question. Also, the drawn lines should be straight.
  • Protractor :- The protractor is used to draw the ray of accurate degrees. It's also used to measure the angles.
  • Cómpàss :- The cómpàss is used to draw an arc on the ray drawn by taking the measurements.
