Construct the triangles.

PQR in which PQ = 5.5 cm, QR = 6.5 cm, RP = 5 cm​

\dashrightarrow Steps :-

  • First, draw a line segment QR of 6.5 cm.
  • Next, take a compass and measure it as 5.5 cm and keep it's tip on the point Q and draw an arc above the line segment.
  • Again, take a compass and measure it as 5 cm and keep it's tip on the point R and draw an arc above the line segment.
  • Now, join the points Q and R to the point where both arcs meet. Name it as point P.
  • Finally, the triangle is constructed.

\dashrightarrow Instruments used :-

  • Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements and also the drawn lines should be straight always.
  • Compass :- The compass is used to draw the arcs above the line segment by taking the measurements given in the question.
