SOLUTION :

Draw a rough diagram of the triangle.

Step 1 : Draw base BC of 6 cm

Step 2 : Take a compass measuring 5 cm, take B as centre and  draw an arc above the base BC.  

Step 3 : Take a compass measuring 5.5 cm, take C as centre and  draw an arc above the base BC.

Now,

we will get a intersecting point by the two arcs above the base BC

Step 4 : Mark the intersecting point by the arcs as A.

Step 5 : Join A to B and A to C.

Hence,

ΔABC is the required triangle
