Given : TRIANGLE ABC SUCH THAT AB = 9.8CM, BC = 6.5CM AND ABC = 88 DEGREE

To Find : Construct triangle ABC

Construct perpendicular bisector of AB , cut AC at S. Measure BS

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw  a line segment BA = 9.8cm

Step 2 : draw an angle of 88° at B on BA using protractor

Step 3 : Using compass width = 6.5 cm and B as center , mark a point C on angle drawn in previous step

Step 4 : Join BC

Step 5 :  Draw perpendicular bisector of AB cutting AC at S

Step 6 : Join BS

Step 7 : Measure BS = 5.9 cm

Perpendicular Bisector of AB

Step 1 : Use suitable compass width and taking A as center draw arcs on both sides

Step 2 : Keeping compass width same and taking A as center draw arcs on both sides such that it intersects arc drawn in previous steps at X and Y

Step 3: Join XY intersecting AB at M
