Construct Δ UVW with UV = 6cm, VW = 6cm and UW = 6cm.

For constructing Δ

1.Draw a line from U to V ( UV = 6 cm. )using scale.

2.Now keep bow compass at U and extend it till 6 cm. and draw a arc M.

3.Similarly keep bow compass at V and extend it till 6 cm. and draw a arc N such that its intersect with the M.

4.Give name point of intersection W.

5.By joining point through scale UW and VW we got equilateral ΔUVW.

In ∆UVW ,

UV = 6 cm , VW = 6 cm , UW = 6cm

Draw a rough diagram as shown above.

Construction steps :

1 ) Draw UV = 6 cm line segment.

2 ) Take U , V as centers and with same

radius 6 cm draw two intersecting arcs .

3 ) Intersecting point is W.

Therefore ,

Required ∆UVW formed with given

measurements .
