The architects or the construction engineers need to have knowledge about the earthquakes in that area so that they construct the buildings, bridges, etc. in a way that they bear its effects and do not get damage.

As we know very well that each passing year our beautiful planet The earth is more exposed to natural to calamities because of growing global warming & melting glaciers .
Hence its became more important to protect even our buildings from harsh natural events like earth quakes & floods .
Its job of Construction Engineers & Architects that they should know all data's for that particular ares about level of earth quakes .by that they can design the structure of buildings & homes shock & resistance proof . how much the load & vibration can building can bear.now a days there is special engineering branch is introduces to study the earthquakes to study & understand the nature of earth in such events.
