• Draw the base AB=10cm using a scale.
• Now, on both the ends A and B, construct 90° using compass.                                        

       For constructing 90°, bisect 60° and 120°.

• Take 8cm on the compass, place it on A and then B and cut an arc on the line where you constructed 90°.
• Now, name the points as C and D and join CD.
• Hence constructed a rectangle ABCD.
