contact force between two bodies

Explanation:

By contact forces we mean the forces which are transmitted between bodies by short-range atomic or molecular interactions. Examples: push, pull, tension of a string, normal force, the force of friction, etc. The origin of these forces can be explained in terms of the fundamental properties of matter.

This does not include Gravitational Force, as it is Non-contact Force!

Answer:

Contact force is equal to the normal force.

For the body to remain in equilibrium, the net gorvmce acting on the body must be zero. Hence, we can conclude that the force of friction acting between the bodies is zero.
