Given:

mass of Container A=100 g

percentage=109%

mass of Container B=100 g

percentage in B=118%

To Find:

Ratio of % free SO, in container A and B

Solution:

For A

100 g of 109% is

\dfrac{100\times109}{100} =109

mass of SO in A

=109-100

=9 \ g

For B

100 g of 118% is

=\dfrac{100\times118}{100}\\=118

mass of SO in B is

=118-100

=18\ g

The ratio of A and B is

=\dfrac{mass\ of \ SO \ in\ A}{mass\ of \So\ in \ B}\\=\dfrac{9}{18}\\=0.5.

Hence, the ratio of A and B is 0.5.
