Contains 50 for marbles each of which is blue ,green or white the probability of selecting a blue marble from the jar is 1/3 And out of green marble is 4/9 How many white marbles does the jar contains

This came for my exams...

Really important:)

The total number of marbles = 54.

The probability of selecting a blue marble = 4/9.

 Number of blue marbles = 54 * 4/9

                                          = 24.

The probability of selecting a green marble = 1/3

Number of green marble = 54 * 1/3

                                         = 18.

Probability of white marble = 54 - (24 + 18)

                                            = 54 - 42

                                            = 12.
