The National Anthem like our National Flag is the scared symbol of a free Nation. It was first sung in 1911, when the Indian National Congress met in Kolkata. The Jana- Gana- Mana is a very long song, with five stanzas, but only the first stanza is sung on all occasions of national importance. This song was chosen out of a number of songs on January 24, 1950. It was composed by the well known poet and Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore. The playing time of the full version of the National Anthem is approximately 52 seconds.

We must observe some rules with regard to the National Anthem. These are:

↪When the National Anthem is sung or played, stand at attention and be motionless. To move about or talk is disrespectful.

↪One should be able to sing correctly.

↪One should show respect to the Anthem everywhere and on all occasions.

OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM

Our national anthem had had its significance since the earliest hours. India got its independence in the midnight, after 200 years of continuous struggle. National anthem was written by Sri Rabindranath Tagore, one if the most respected personnels of India. He had written in it Bengali, his mother tongue. But it was later translated, in order to evoke the trapped dragons from the terrified wolves of India. It did help up to a great extent for encouraging the Indians to be confident of themselves and to take a better step for their own betterment. The national anthem was first played during one of the meetings of the INC(Indian National Congress). Indian anthem has registered a great place in each of our hearts. But the era has changed now. The mindsets and the thinking of the people has changed. In order to attain the so called tag of being "MODERN", they forget about their own nation and tradition. But they are forgetting their own identity, i.e. their own nation. They don't know that modernity always comes with a tint of traditions and patriotism. A lot of anti-patriot people, don't think that our national anthem deserves any respect by standing up. But will it literally harm us, to stand up for our own identity, our own nation? Our national anthem deserves a lot of respect. It had imbued and still imbues a lot of things in the heart of every thriving Indian.

Hope you like it!
