Hi.
Reduction ⇒ The addition of the Electrons is called as the Reduction. Also, The addition of the hydrogen(or Electropositive element ) in the reaction and the removal of the oxygen(or Electronegative element ) is also called as Reduction.
Those compounds or the Elements which allows and Favors the Reduction Reactions to occurs is called as Reduction.
Examples ⇒ Formic Acid, Sulphite,Hydrogen Peroxide and Earth Metals.
Oxidation ⇒ The removal of the Electrons in the reaction is called as Oxidation. Also, the removal of the Hydrogen and the Addition of the oxygen is considered as the Oxidation.
Those Compounds or the Elements which allows the Oxidation to occurs are called as Oxidizing agent.
Examples ⇒ Halogens, Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Permanganateand Nitric Acid.
Hope it helps.
