hello dear
here is your answer
a group of solar cells connected to each other in a certain pattern forms a solar panel.
a solar panel convert sunlight into electrical energy. the efficiency of solar panel is very large as compared to the efficiency of a solar cell. during daytime sunlight falling on the solar panel is converted into electrical energy which is stored in a battery connected to it.
as soon as the sunlight it stops falling on it the battery begins to supply electric current to the appliances like electric bulbs and electric tubes connected to it

Heya Dear !!
__________

Your Answer --------->

The main process behind the solar panel is the photo volatic effect . When Sunlight is incudent on photo volatic surface the electrons in valence band gets exited by absorbing the light energy and moves to the conduction band. These conduction band electrons are almost free, some of these electrons get accelerated by a built-in potential and it raches a junction giving rise to a emf.

So , Solar energy is Converted into electrical energy

Note :- The photo-voltaic cell is made up of crystalline silicon and thin films.

Hope It Helps You ✌☺
