as it is balanced Wheatstone bridge setup
since
ratio of resistance is equal
i.e 4/2 = 8/4
that's why we can remove 10 ohm resistance
now after removing 10 ohm resistance
4 ohm and 8 ohm resistance in series
equivalent resistance = 4+8 = 12 ohm
and 2 ohm and 4 ohm also in series
equivalent = 2+4 = 6 ohm
now these 6 ohm and 12 ohm resistance are in parallel
so 1/equivalent resistance = 1/6+1/12
equivalent resistance = 12*6/18
= 4 ohm

harshmata3oybvei: Plz tell me what is wheatstone bridge setup???
harshmata3oybvei: r U there then tell me
Anonymous: than two simple series-parallel arrangements of resistances connected between a voltage supply terminal and ground producing zero voltage difference between the two parallel branches when balanced. A Wheatstone bridge circuit has two input terminals and two output terminals consisting of four resistors configured in a diamond-like arrangement as shown. This is typical of how the Wheatstone bridge is drawn.
