Why is it so hard to pour coffee from a mug?

the coffee has irregular shape and it takes the shape of the container.... thus when v gonna pour it in from a mug.... when it reaches the mouth of mug, the shape of cup will be flat and thus the coffee liquid goes out of our control ....so it is hard to pour coffe from a mug

It is hard to pour coffee from a mug because of Coanda effect it's also the reason airplanes can fly. Coanda effect is the phenomena in which a jet flow attaches itself to a nearby surface and remains attached even when the surface curves away from the initial jet direction. In free surroundings, a jet of fluid entrains and mixes with its surroundings as it flows away from a nozzle.
