Heya!!

--------------------------------------

Mole, also known as Mol.. This is the SI unit of amount of matter. 1 mole is equal to 6.023* 10^23(also known as Avagadro's constant).

It measures no of particles/things/any other quantities fr specific substance. Like 1 mole of electrons mean 6.023*10^23 electrons.

How it was derived :

It was derived by electrochemical process known as electrolysis. When Faraday passed 96480 Columbs of charge by hydrogen cations then he found something different. Little bit gas was produced nd it was hydrogen. After some experiments he found tht 1 gram of hydrogen was formed.

Since hydrogen have one electron and one electron have 1.6*10^-19 Columb charge.

So when scientists searched fr no of electrons in 96480 C then ;

= 96480/1.6*10^-19

It was 6.023*10^23.

Then Avagadro said tht if 6.023*10^23 electrons needed to make 1g of hydrogen then what's abt other atoms. He searched fr different atoms but this constant was same.

He called it as one mole~6.023*10^23.

Hope it helps uh :)
