Here, the poet compares the daffodils with the stars that twinkles in the milky way. He does so because the daffodils were uncountable just like the stars in the night sky. He says that the daffodils were stretched in a never ending line beside the bay of the lake. The poet also says that he saw ten thousand daffodils at a glance. Literally, he means that he saw many daffodils at one glance which were tossing their heads(here he personifies the flowers) along with the breeze.
