Continuously water logged soils are disadvantages for plants growth why

Answer:

Because water logged soils avoid contact of atmospheric oxygen with the soil.Thus, aeration of the soil is prevented..Hence,as roots don't get enough oxygen it is disadvantageous for plant growth
