Lamarck proposed the theory of use and disuse of organs. According to his theory, the organs that are used constantly show a remarkable increase in their size. On the contrary, the organs that are not used constantly decrease in size and ultimately disappear.  

Giraffe is animals that eat green plants and trees. So, they have to use their neck, elongate it and eat tall trees. As a result, it has increased in size due to its constant use.
