There's a huge gap between the dialogues of Bassanio- Portia and Jessica-Lorenzo. After Bassanio won the casket, ( which was probably hinted by Portia) he described his lady very unusually. If we see the exact translation it'd be - portia's hair is like web which traps men's heart just like how spider catches it's prey (insect). No matter how beautiful our mother or sister is, we would never describe them like, 'My mom is so beautiful she can make any man fall for her' this shows Bassanios's upbringin, status and mentality. Whereas Lorenzo was using biblical allusions which puts him at a higher level than Bassanio
