The Poet wanted to travel both the roads Because He observed that the easy road (First Road) was much used than the road Full of Thorns.

So wanted to know that which road will help to reach the Destination and which one not and he was curious to the reason why many people chose the easy way and not the difficult path.

Thanking You!

Answer: In stanza two the poet explainsthat the only difference between the two roads was that the road he took had because it was covers with grass and looked as if it hadn't been used too much. ... In the third stanza the poet says that both the roads were equally covered with leaves as if no person had stepped on.
