raja ram Mohan Roy is popularly known as maker of modern india and father of modern india .he is a social reformistic .during modern time he had a deep knowledge in sanskrit ,persia and Arabic literature. he was well versed in hindi philosophical critique and Quran.

he started athmiya sabha in Calcutta. he started bhramo samaj in 1828 .he wanted to purge Hinduism by removing caste system and superstition.
