He wrote about Plato's Republic, Alexander's De Intellectu, the Metaphysics of Nicolaus of Damascus, the Isagoge of Porphyry, and the Almajest of Ptolemy. Ibn Rushd would often write more than one commentary on Aristotle's texts; for many he wrote a short or paraphrase version, a middle version and a long version.
