Raja Ram Mohan Roy was the great Bengali social reformer during the 19th century. He was against caste and gender discrimination and superstition practices.  He emphasizes on women education and sati practice. He was founder of Brahmo sabha, a socio-religious reform movement in the Indian subcontinent.
