she tried to preserve the the throne for her adopted son and fought for British .her fight was only for the kingdom of jhansi and it has nothing to do with freeing the India from British.however the boldness with which she stood against the mighty british and her ultimate martyrdom had catapulted her to the top rung of freedom fighters.even today ,when a lady displays boldness she is compared to Lakshmi of jhansi .she had , long after her death ,been an inspiration to generations of women in India and those took part in freedom struggle too..
