Education transforms lives. Therefore it occupies the most significant place in UNESCO’s mission to build peace, eradicate poverty and bring about sustainable development.
UNESCO emphasizes that education is a human right for all throughout life. So everyone must have the access to education. At the same time the quality of education should be good. UNESCO is the only United Nations agency which has the mandate to cover all aspects of education.
The responsibility to lead the Global Education 2030 Agenda through the Sustainable Development Goal 4, has been entrusted to UNESCO. The FFA or the Education 2030 Framework for Action is the roadmap to achieve this.
