Aryabhatta was a mathematician and astronomer who lived during gupta period. He wrote two famous books - Aryabhattiyam and Surya Siddhanta.He said that the earth moves round the sun.It was several centuries before the  Europeans said the same thing.He also discovered the rule for finding the area of a triangle.He calculated the exact value of pi which was equal to 3.1416.The credit for development of trigonometry should actually go to him.

Aryabhatta is a first Indian Mathematician-astronomer. Due to his major and helpful inventions, he is also known as Physicist. One of his major discovery is the "discovery of pi value". The π (pi) which we generally use for doing mathematical calculation. The value of pi which we have accepted is 62832/20000 = 3.1416. This value was found by Aryabhatta.

He is one of the greatest Astronomer and  Mathematician of India. The first  unmanned Indian mission was named as "Aryabhatta" in the memory of Aryabhatta. Aryabhatta is to be said from the Indian state Kerala. He had done a lot of inventions and discoveries which has really helpful to the world a lot.

The earth rotates around the sun in it's axis has been discovered by Aryabhatta. Before this discovery, everyone were having a myth that, the sun rotates around the Earth. This invention is very helpful for this world. India has given a lot of contribution in the Astronomy and Mathematics. This had helped a lot to India to achieve and develop in Science and Technology.
