Virtual , upright and enlarged image.

  • Converging lens means convex lens. It has focal length of 15 cm.

  • Now, it has been placed 10 cm from optical centre. So, object distance is 10 cm.

So, we can say : OBJECT IS PLACED BETWEEN FOCUS AND OPTICAL CENTRE.

  • Whenever an object is kept so close (i.e. u < f) to a convex lens, a virtual, erect and magnified image is produced.

  • Try to remember the ray diagrams, they do help in these MCQs !
