Daughter: Hooray! Mom I won the first prize at the elocution contest!

Mother: That’s great! I knew you would do it.

Daughter: How Mom?

Mother: I saw you practice day and night.

Daughter: Thanks also to you! You helped me a lot. You heard my speech hundreds of time! You corrected my pronunciation, intonation, and pauses.

Mother: The script of the speech was good too!

Daughter: Yes Mom! Thanks to  my English teacher who wrote such a wonderful script.

Mother: I hope you did not feel nervous at the stage on seeing the audience!

Daughter: Initially I felt a flutter of nervousness! But I followed your tips! I did not think about the audience; I just focused on my speech only. I just thought about my script, pronunciation, intonation, and pauses tips. I maintained the calmness of my mind; and most importantly, God helped me deliver a perfect speech.

Mother: It is true God helps those who help themselves. Well done my daughter!

Mother : An elocution competition was held in your school today, didn't it?
Daughter : Yes, mom!
Mother : Well, have you got any prizes?
Daughter : Yes, mom i won the first prize.
Mother : How joyful! Well done!
Daughter : Thank you mom.
Mother : I want to know something from you.
Daughter : Yes, what do you want to know mom?
Mother : What happened with you? Did anything happen in your class? Why are you so sad? You should be very cheerful today, shouldn't you?
Daughter : No mother! I am nothing to be cheerful. My success was entirely due to your efforts. You helped me in spite of your illness. I also saw you didn't care about your health because of me so that i could win the first prize. Although I gave up all hope of winning the first prize, but you always encouraged me in this matter that I can. When I did spell the word wrongly then you corrected in your busiest moment. You know that my pronunciation, speaking skill and articulations are not good. I felt extremely sad when you were hunting up an elocutionist for my improvement. All your efforts were productive of winning prize. Above all, you had sacrificed all you have for me.
Mom, you are very kind. I didn't want to let you down and let all efforts to go in vain. Moreover, I didn't to get the first prize but to give pleasure of mind. That's all.
Mother : Oh really! I am speechless. I am quite lucky to have a very nice minded daughter. Your future is very bright my daughter. God bless you.
Daughter : I shall abide by all you advice.
